    Attunement is the early term adopted by practitioners of the  energy medicine, originally  taught and practiced by Lloyd Arthur Meeker and his colleagues. It is taught as a personal spiritual practice and as a healing modality offered through the hands. In some ways it is similar to Qigong, Reiki and Therapeutic Touch. The human connection to universal life energy relies the aura of subtle energy, or etheric body surrounding the physical body. Attunement practitioners believe that etheric energy is generated when the universal life energy flows through an individual, and that the clarity of the astral body depends on the clarity of that energy flow. Attunement practitioners focus on clarifying and enriching the energy associated with the endocrine glands and the anatomical systems of the body.
