Death

Is this what happens at death?

April 2019, S.D. was sitting in a hospital room with her dying aunt.  At one point the nurse seemed to realize that something was happening. She looked startled. Her eyes widened and she quickly left the room.

S.D. looked over at her aunt to see what had startled the nurse. To her amazement,  she saw a round sac sitting on her aunt’s forehead, arising from the top part of her nose. It was whitish and seemed transparent.

S.D. blinked her eyes and looked around in several directions. When she turned back, the sac was gone. The experience lasted for about a minute.

The above illustration was compiled under the direction of S.D. who says it is an accurate representation.

Death is the separation of the soul (astral body) from the physical.  It may occur as the result of trauma, or the natural aging process. In  the past an individual was considered dead when the heart had stopped beating.  Now death is said to have iccyrred when therer is no longer any brain function. Another way of viewing death is to day it has taken place when consciousness can no longer function through the body.

Though it is usually a natural process, occuring to all humans, death is commonly a sorrowful occasion due to the affection of the living have for the deceased and/or for the ending of the social and familial bonds, and anxiety, emotional pain or solitude. The potential for an afterlife is of concern for humans and the possibility of reward or judgement and punishment for past sin concerns people of certain religions.

The word "death" has two meanings to Christians.  First, it is used to describe the cessation of life. Second, death refers to an eternal separation from God as a result of sin  The Christians teach that it was  not until they sinned that death entered the scene  They further teach that death will be destroyed when Jesus returns and the believers receive their resurrected bodies.

Many metaphysicians do not use the word 'death'. They believe that there is no actual death, since consiousness is eternal

In reference to the illustration on the upper right:  Many will assume that it shows the 'soul' leaving the body and ascending to the astral world. This would be an error. The astral world has no geographical location. It interpenitrates the physical world. What the illustartion shows is the "soul" becoming astrally visible because the physical body is dead.
