Dick Sutphen

Richard E.(Dick) Sutphen was born April 3, 1937 in Omaha, Nebraska,  He was previously married to Tara Sutphen.  Dick  was a well known ‘past life regression therapist’ and psychic researcher.  In 1976 Dick Sutphen was the first person to create and mass-market hypnosis on tape. He was a best-selling author and pioneer in the research of brain-mind  He announced his retirement (and a return to painting) September 2019. At the time of his death Dick lived with his wife Roberta Witters and their puppies in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dick Sutphen was called "America's foremost psychic researcher" by Simon & Schuster Pocket Books, and "American's leading past-life therapist" by the Mind Body Spirit Festivals in London, England and Sydney, Australia. In addition to writing the million-copy bestseller, You Were Born Again To Be Together, he has authored 23 additional metaphysical books―seven for Pocket Books. Dick is primarily known for his books and seminars on reincarnation and mind-programming. Through his Valley of the Sun Publishing, he created the first hypnosis tapes in 1976. Today the company has over 900 Sutphen self-help and metaphysical CDs, books and videos in world-wide release, most of which are available on his website.In addition to the Mind Body Spirit Festivals, Dick appears regularly at the Healing Arts Festival in London, England and Sydney, Australia, and dozens of New Age Expos in the US. He's often a featured speaker and trainer at professional hypnosis conferences such as the American Board of Hypnotherapy, The International Federation of Hypnosis, and the International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association..Since 1969, over 250,000 people have attended a Sutphen Seminar, retreat or workshop, which are conducted annually in major cities throughout the US. Sutphen's annual Past-Life Hypnotist Training attracts many counselors and medical professionals who attend to learn his unique past-life therapy techniques.Mind electronics is one of Dick's favorite on-going research projects. In 2000, he released a theta-wave and delta-pulse CD called The Zapper. The professional-hypnotist community immediately accepted it to use in hypnotizing subjects in counseling sessions. In the past three years dozens of new CD titles have followed using this and related technology.Dick has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV shows, including Phil Donahue, Good Morning America, and Tom Snyder's Tomorrow Show where he conducted the first televised past-life regression. The David Susskind show built a 90-minute program around his work.
